Trike Systems designed and implemented the Micohealth systems from the basic concept to the current implementation at http://www.micohealth.com/. At the core of the application is a database that is accessed by two distinct communities: patients and their healthcare providers. Because of the confidential nature of medical information, the site uses SSL encryption for end-to-end communication and further, encrypts the underlying database.

It maintains an accurate and up-to-date inventory of buildings, land, workforce demographics, housing, schooling and other information of interest to potential business ventures. Its website, http://www.techtriangle.com/, which is hosted at Trike’s Network Operations Centre handles thousands of hits per hour.

Trike assumed responsibility in February, 2000 for site hosting, remediation and database upgrading after the former web developers proved to be unable to resolve serious performance and development problems. Since then, most of the “back end” of the site has been rewritten, with substantial performance improvements, increased reliability and reduced development costs.
